Planning and Care Funding
While we all hope that we’ll have access to the best care in our time of need, financial burdens can present a barrier if the costs haven’t been foreseen.
The government provision of care varies greatly depending on where you live and sadly, often doesn’t provide the expected level of care. Most users of care services will be required to pay for additional support in order to ensure a full quality of life.
When comparing care services, it’s essential to look beyond the bare essentials and consider the wider picture of what a caregiver can provide. Will your care provider support the need for companionship? Encourage the pursuit of hobbies and interests? Treat each client as an individual, not a task?
It’s this holistic care that AccuCare prides itself on.

You may be wondering why we don’t list prices or packages on our website. Our packages are completely tailored to the needs of the client, and so too are the costs involved at very competitive rate. We work alongside you and your loved ones to create a combination of services that perfectly fit the circumstances, ensuring the final package includes everything you need – and nothing you don’t.
We have impressively competitive prices for the value we provide, but with the requirements of each client varying so widely, it’s simply impossible to give guide prices.
What we can tell you is that in-home care can be as little as one third the cost of a residential care home.
Meeting the costs of an in-home care service can put undue stress on a family if financial arrangements aren’t in place. If you are worried that you may struggle to afford the level of quality care that is required, there are additional pathways you may wish to explore.
For example, many local authorities offer part or full funding for care services, dependant on the individuals’ circumstances. We recommend investigating whether this is applicable to you as part of the research into care costs.
For people requiring day-to-day support, there may be additional financial support claimable through your local authority.
A ‘needs assessment’ can be carried out to ascertain the frequency and level of support that is required, and to determine whether the individual is suitable for in-home care. Should the assessment confirm the benefit of a carer, you will be given the option of receiving direct payments toward the cost of this care to arrange your own service privately. If you have a preference for using a different care agency you can still request this from your social worker and they will arrange this for you. If there is a price difference then you may have to pay the difference yourself or choose to have fewer visits.
